You will carry out tasks relevant to maintaining and repairing motor vehicles. You will also be partly responsible for maintenance of the workshop environment. As part of your training you will attend one of Raytheon’s bespoke technical centres across the UK. Training is block release over a 1 year period. This ensures that you have plenty of ‘on the job’ training as well as hands on tuition tailored to your needs at your local Raytheon Training centre. You will be coached by our Raytheon Apprentice Development Coaches (ADC) every 12 weeks and mentored in your work place by your selected work place mentor giving you the hands on training you need to complete your course and develop your skills for the future. Practical on the job training will be provided at the retailer. You will be working towards an advanced apprenticeship with the GM(General Motors/Vauxhall) Academy. Qualifications to be achieved are:-Level 3 NVQ Including functional Skills level 2 in Math’s, English and ICT, as well as ATA and Air Conditioning Manual handling certificate. You will work a 40 hour week Monday to Friday, this may include the occasional Saturday. Upon successful completion of the qualification framework each student will be trained up to bronze award in Service Maintenance through the GM Academy which will reflect their ability and knowledge having just completed a Vauxhall manufacturer's training program. This additional accreditation is only accredited by Raytheon and is not available from any other training provider.
