A 13 credit level 1 course for learners who would like to progress onto level 2 Health & Social Care. The units give learners an introduction overview of basic care and the skills needed to be a care assistant such as communication, health and safety, rights and care practices (assisting with feeding, personal care etc) Learners will be assisted to find a suitable placement to gain supervised hands on experience.
