We deliver Engineering Advanced Apprenticeships in the following skill areas: MACHINING, PRODUCTION, MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE, MULTI-SKILLED MAINTENANCE, TOOL MAKING, CNC PROGRAMMING, PRODUCTION ENGINEERING AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING. Name: Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering Qualification title: NVQ Extended Diploma in Engineering Toolmaking (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment Advanced Apprenticeships in Engineering usually last for 3 to 4 years. The first year is typically carried out in an approved Off-the-Job training centre to achieve three mandatory units for NVQ Level 2 in Performing Engineering Operations and Functional Skills at Level 2. Plus Day Release for two years to achieve a Btec Technical Certificate at Level 3. During years two to four the Advanced Apprentice will work towards achieving NVQ Level 3 in the workplace.
