A 12 month full time course.. Approx 8-10 weeks classroom study, including mandatory safety courses - before work placement at sea. An apprenticeship portfolio, technical certificate and key/functional skills to be completed to achieve the full apprenticeship. Training/work placement at Whitby, North Yorkshire. Bed, breakfast and evening meal funded where necessary. Applications accepted from all parts of the United Kingdom. Full personal protective equipment provided. Please note this is a non-employed apprenticeship. We are awaiting info. re a replacement for EMA but a training allowance is payable to those aged 19+. Good progression prospects upon completion
