The Retail Apprenticeship covers all aspects of the Retail Assistants role. All these areas are taught to you and reinforced by the hands on experience you gain in your day-to-day job role. The Apprenticeship will consist of: National Vocational Qualification Technical Certificate Functional Skills in Maths, English, and ICT. And in addition to learning new skills in the work place, you will gain a nationally recognised qualification, which will benefit you within your organisation or in future careers. The Apprenticeship can be done by portfolio or e-portfolio; the e-portfolio is ideal as it is all done electronically which means you have 24 hour assesses to your portfolio, no appointment times needed, check progression any time, you have instant responses from your tutor and NO PAPER. The tutor’s role is to guide you throughout your apprenticeship, ensuring that you meet targets and actions set and to confirm evidence to provide competency. Regular feedback will be given on your progression and assessment will take place within your place of work. You will be assessed by a number of different methods, these assessment methods and are varied to meet your individual needs. You will be given a Individual Leaning Plan which will specify targets and time scales of achievement, and will be reviewed monthly to ensure targets are met and to identify any support that may be required An Apprenticeship is a Framework of Qualifications, which backs up your experience you will also gain transferable skills and a recognised qualification after completion of level 2, you may have the opportunity to progress to a level 3.
