BIIAB Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration (QCF)

This course is designed to meet the skills needs of employers by attracting new talent into a career in business and administration and help to up-skill the workforce to replace those who leave or retire. Apprentices will work in roles such as administrators, office juniors, receptionists, medical receptionists, junior legal secretaries or junior medical secretaries. The Level 2, includes both knowledge and competence units. Learners must complete the 6 mandatory units outlined below, along with optional units from Group B, C & D. Mandatory Units include: Communicate in a business environment Manage personal and professional development Develop working relationships with colleagues Principles of business document production and information management Understand employer organisations Apprentices must complete or have completed one English, Maths or ICT transferable skills qualifications listed below in order to successfully complete their Apprenticeship and this will carry the QCF 5 credit values. Functional Skills in English, Maths or ICT - min Level 1 Key Skills in Communication, Maths or ICT – min Level 1 GCSE English, Maths or ICT - min Grade C A' Level or AS Level in English, Maths or ICT - min Grade E Intermediate apprentices, with support and opportunities in the workplace, can progress onto: Other level 3 advanced apprenticeships such as customer service or management The advanced (14-19) Diplomas in a range of related sectors, including business, administration and finance, information technology, public services and retail business Further education to undertake management, business related or other qualifications. With additional training, intermediate apprentices may be able to progress in their careers to roles including office manager, administration executive, administration team leader, office supervisor, personal assistant, secretary or a wide range of other business administration roles.
