This course is for aboriculturalists and tree surgeons or people wishing to enter the industry covering the requirements for a ground person working with a climber and conducting an aerial tree rescue. Course Content ? Safe working practices ? Requirements of LOLER legislation ? Carry out pre climb inspection ? Legal and environmental factors ? Select and Inspect a range of tree climbing equipmen ? Tree access techniques ? Set up climbing system ? Climb tree and establish anchor point ? Branch walking techniques ? Aerial rescue techniques ? Storage and maintenance of equipment Learning Outcomes Candidate will be able to: 1) Undertake a risk assessment of tree climbing operations 2) Select, inspect and use a range of tree climbing equipment 3) Safely climb a tree, move around the crown and descend to the ground 4) Carry out aerial rescues from different situations
