Electronic Engineering Foundation Degree (MMU)

This course covers units which include: analogue electronics, digital electronics, electrical and mechanical engineering, engineering mathematics, project management at Level 1; and ECAD and software engineering, engineering techniques and tools, control and instrumentation systems, power and microprocessor systems, engineering project at Level 2. Participants can progress onto BEng Honours in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Entry requirements

Students must be at least 18 years old and have four GCSEs at grade A*-C or including Science, English and Maths or Level 2 Functional skills in English and Maths. In addition, students must have one of the following: a) A BTEC National (Level 3 or level 3 Extended) Diploma (Pass) in Engineering b) Two A-Levels at grade D or above in appropriate subjects c) Access to Higher Education Certificate d) An equivalent Level 3 qualification (eg Engineering) AVCE, or one A-Level plus one six unit Engineering VCE e) Relevant Engineering industrial experience of at least five years and a commitment to succeed.
