Studying an Intermediate Apprenticeship will increase your practical skills, enable you to acquire more knowledge about basic preparation and cookery methods and the catering industry as a whole. This practical programme provides an excellent foundation for a career in the catering industry. Working in Chapters Restaurant, the College’s training restaurant, you will gain valuable hands-on experience.

Name: Apprenticeship in Catering and Hospitality Qualification title: Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principles (Front of House Reception) (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment To gain the full qualification you must complete all fourteen units. You will be assessed by observation, questioning and products of work. The assessment takes place over a period of time and is based on the individual’s competence. You will build up a portfolio of work to support your learning. You will be formally assessed during your work in the college kitchen and also via observations in your workplace.
