The Advanced Diploma in Engineering has been designed for those candidates who wish to become an Engineer - Welder and or Fabricator. The qualification ensures that the candidate has practical as well as theoretical knowledge of Engineering in their selected pathway. The qualification is also recognised as a Technical Certificate for the Advanced Apprentice Framework

Entry requirements

You must provide your own PPE (overalls and safety boots) for practical workshop sessions. You may be asked to cover the cost of transport for any visits arranged throughout the course. Textbooks relating to the course are available for loan from our Learning Resource Centre as well as within the department.
