This is a nationally recognised qualification giving students an opportunity to gain a basic Health, Fitness & Sport qualification, enabling students to progress onto other courses or to gain employment. We want to help ALL students to WORK TOWARDS Level 2 qualifications in these subjects, regarded as vital for employment and further study. Whatever your specialist subject, we guarantee that you will have the opportunity and all the support that you need to boost your qualifications in English and Maths. Students on a Level 2 course at College WILL choose an intensive study option in English or Maths. WHEN you do that, you will also be able to improve your skills in the other subject while you are at College. If you are following a Level 3 course at Stafford College and missed out on a qualification in English or Maths at school, we'll make it possible for you to take catch-up classes to ensure you have the qualifications you need to progress onto university or into the workplace. Career Opportunities/Progression Various opportunities would be available on completion. Career opportunities include: Leisure Clubs; Fitness Centres; Health Clubs/Farms; Sports Clubs; Sports Injury Clinics; Progression onto the two year BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science; Progression onto the two year BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Development, Coaching and Fitness; Progression onto the six month VRQ Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing; Working Abroad.
