Course Outline This course is primarily practical in nature and aimed at young people who wish to begin their training in mechanical and electrical engineering. Successful completion of this course is one of the entry requirements to the PEO Level 2. Course Content The course builds practical skills and training takes place in our well-equipped workshops on the campus. General Units: Working safely in an Engineering environment; Working efficiently and effectively in Engineering; Communicating Engineering Information. Specialist Units: Turning Operations; Fitting using hand skills. The course also includes the following mandatory components: Functional Skills Mathematics; Functional Skills English; Functional Skills Information & Communication Technology (ICT). Personal Social Development Units in Work Skills.
