Students will complete NVQ Level 2 Beauty Therapy and start working towards NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing within the first year of their programme. Students will progress on to the second year to achieve Level 2 Hairdressing, Nail Technology, Nail Art and maintain Level 2 Beauty Therapy Skills. The final year will focus on achieving level 3 within either hairdressing or beauty therapy. Students could then progress into a fourth year to complete the alternative NVQ Level 3 if they so wish. This programme is very intense and will cover in depth practical and theoretical knowledge. Functional skills development is also integrated into the course which supports employment into the Hair and Beauty industry. Students should allocate approximately 15 hours per week for home study to support this fast tracking course. The facilities available on site are of an excellent standard and also through the Francesco Academy. Course Content Hairdressing: The course would include client care, team working, health and safety, reception, shampooing, conditioning, blow-drying, setting and into the second year cutting, perming, colouring techniques and essential skills. Beauty Therapy: During year one and two students will learn to perform facials, eyebrow shaping, lash and brow tinting, artificial lashes, manicures, pedicures, waxing, makeup, advanced nails and nail art. Year Three During the third year NVQ Level 3 Beauty would include body massage, advanced facial and body treatments, pre-blended aromatherapy, epilation and Indian Head Massage. OR NVQ Level 3 Hair would include health and safety, advanced colour and colour correction, develop and enhance creative hairdressing skills, advanced cutting techniques, style and dress long hair.
